The famed museum, located in Pennsylvania’s Brandywine Valley, is home to unique galleries that honor the Wyeth family of artists. Works include those of N.C. Wyeth as well as Jamie and Andrew Wyeth. Featuring American 19th and 20th century artwork, the museum works with over 400 volunteers who engage in various opportunities during the year. The following are some of the opportunities available.

Museum Guides

Volunteers who undergo a 10-week extensive training program provide guided tours for both adult and student groups. The training is conducted by education and curatorial staff. Volunteers take the training for special exhibitions and participate in curator-led gallery talks.

Antiques Show

The annual Antiques Show is a major fundraising effort that traditionally takes place each Memorial Day Weekend and involves museum volunteers. Dealers from across the U.S. come with unique antiques, art, and collectibles in an exciting four-day event that includes various types of activities.

Critter Makers

Critter” volunteers are a group of innovative and inspiring individuals who utilize natural materials to craft over 10,000 ornaments, showcased at the Brandywine Christmas event. The ornaments are available for sale. Volunteers also facilitate workshops to collect, clean, grow and dry materials required for critter production.
